โMany people utter phrases like "Allah Allah Allah," and this is not a phrase of Tawแธฅฤซd as you know. But what do you say about His statement, exalted be He: โ๐๐๐ฆ: โ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐กโ ๐กโ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐กโ๐๐ ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐กโ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ ๐ ๐กโ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ โ [al-Anสฟฤm: 91]?
โ๐๐ป๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ:
โShaykh สฟAbd al-สฟAzฤซz ibn สฟAbdullฤh ibn Bฤz ุฑุญู ู ุงููู (d. 1419H) said:
โโThis is from the แนขลซfฤซs. They say: โAllah Allah Allah,โ or โHuwa Huwa Huwa (i.e. ูู lit He).โ This is invalid speech and is not permissible. This is neither part of the Sharฤซสฟa nor a legitimate form of Dhikr. Saying โAllah Allahโ is one of the practices of the แนขลซfฤซs, who introduced acts of worship that have no foundation in the Sharฤซสฟa.
โThese people are present in many lands, in al-Shฤm, in Miแนฃr, in Africa, and in every place, and they have their own specific forms of Dhikr that they invented, and innovated practices that are invalid. It is not appropriate to imitate them in this; rather, they should be advised and warned against it. When they gather, they make this Dhikr: โAllah Allah Allah Allah,โ or โHuwa Huwa Huwa.โ This is objectionable.
โAs for His statement, exalted and glorified be He: โ๐๐๐ฆ: โ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐กโ ๐กโ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐กโ๐๐ ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐กโ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ ๐ ๐กโ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ โ [al-Anสฟฤm: 91], this follows what came before it. It means: Allah is the one who revealed [the scriptures]. The predicate is omitted, and the subject has its predicate omitted, similar to when you say: โWho created you?โ You respond: โAllah,โ meaning โAllah is the one who created you.โ This is well-understood speech. Or if you say: โWho brings the dead to life?โ You respond: โAllah.โ โWho did such-and-such?โ โWho sent down the Torah and who sent down the Injฤซl?โ โAllah.โ This is complete speech.
โAnd the rule is: The predicate is omitted when there is something indicating it. If someone says to you: โWho stood up?โ you say: โZayd,โ meaning โZayd stood up.โ The verb is omitted because there is something indicating it.โ
