Shaykh Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Egypt, defined the mainstream Sufi grave worship as Islam and excluded Salafis from it. He stated:
“Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah are the Ash’arites and Muturidis (adherents of the theological systems of Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturidi and Imam Abul-Hasan al-Ash’ari, Note: None of the 4 Imams of Fiqh were Ashari or Maturidi, All 4 were Salafi in Creed). In matters of belief, they are followers of any of the four schools of thought (Hanafi, Shafi’i, Maliki or Hanbali) (Note: Why don't these sufi innovators follow the 4 imams in creed ?! What is important: Aqeedah/creed or Matters of Fiqh?) and are also the followers of the Sufism of Imam Junaid al-Baghdadi in doctrines, manners and [spiritual] purification (TN: This is a smoke screen to permit grave worship and opposition to sunnah as part of Islam e.g. look at Ahmed al Tayyibs own beard which opposes commands of the Messenger peace be upon him).”
This statement implies that Salafi Ahl us Sunnah, also called Atharis, are not part of the mainstream Ahl as-Sunnah or Grave worshipping cultish Muslims, this proves the fact that the sufis are doing their level best in trying to hijack the term Sunni by labeling themselves as Sunni Muslims.
The conference was held on 25-27 August 2016 in the city of Grozny.
Some of the renowned Deviants attending the conference include:
Shaykh Ahmed El-Tayeb, president and grand Imam of the prestigious Islamic seminary Al-Azhar University of Cairo, Egypt
Shaikh Muhammad Saad al-Azhari, professor of Al-Azhar University
